CHRISTMAS DINNER 2011
Dear Colleague,
It’s that time of year again to dust off your party frocks and join York Dental Society for the annual Christmas dinner!
Come and join us for an evening of fun in the wonderful surroundings of the Churchill hotel in York. It is a lovely venue and promises to lighten a dark December.
There will be a three-course dinner followed by a disco to get us into the Christmas spirit! There are limited places so we do need replies as soon as possible, it is first come first served, the closing date is Friday 18th November.
The menu is:
Starter
- White onion and cheddar Soup, rosemary and sea salt croutons.
- Pressed ham hock terrine, herb salad and an egg, caper and
mustard mayonnaise.
- Smoked mackerel pate, beetroot and horseradish creme fraiche,
crisp ciabatta bread
- Warm goat's cheese, mizzuna and red onion marmalade tart
Main course
- Slow cooked turkey, sausage meat and chestnut stuffing,
cranberry sauce and bacon wrapped chipolata.
- Braised blade of Yorkshire beef, button mushrooms,
pancetta and baby onions.
- Grilled hake fillet, brown shrimp, lemon, caper and herb
butter.
- Roast pepper with cous cous, roast provencal
vegetables and pesto.
Desserts
- Lemon cheesecake, ginger biscuit crumbs.
- Traditional christmas pudding, Pedro Ximenez sherry Cream.
- Dark chocolate torte, frosted pistachios, blood orange sorbet.
- Locally produced cheese selection, biscuits,
celery, grapes and chutney.
followed by Coffee and Mints.
The venue does require menu selections minimum two weeks beforehand so please state your preference on the reply slip
